This weekly group in person lasts an hour and a half. The group runs for 26 weeks, with rolling admission every four weeks for newcomers. Each week, you will learn new skills to help you manage your emotions, tolerate discomfort, live in the moment, and have better relationships. There are homework assignments to help you translate your learning into everyday life skills.
This is an adult group for people 16+. This therapy is best for people who have bene told by their doctor they have Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), or BPD traits, PTSD, or complex PTSD (C-PTSD), ADHD, ADD, or addictions. This group is great for anyone who has difficulty managing big emotions.
There are two separate groups. One runs on Monday evenings from 6 to 730 p.m., and the other runs on Thursday evenings from 6 to 730 p.m. The cost is $250 per month.
Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint therapy is an evidence-based Couple's therapy for PTSD. This weekend intensive will help you improve intimacy, increase communication skills, and build a stronger connection.
You and your partner will learn to discuss difficult topics, face challenges together, and solve problems more effectively.
This evidence-based therapy will treat the symptoms of PTSD, while simultaneously decreasing relationship distress.
The goals of CBCT for PTSD are:
Education: We teach you about PTSD and its symptoms, including information on how avoidance and problematic thoughts keep people stuck in PTSD. We also explore how PTSD can contribute to and maintain relationship problems and strategies to feel emotionally safe with one another while learning better methods for managing conflict.
Increasing Satisfaction and Decreasing Avoidance: We teach you how to enhance your communication and increase emotional intimacy to counteract symptoms of PTSD. We teach you skills to help identify and share feelings and to notice how thoughts influence behaviours and emotions. We practice using communication skills to problem solve and decrease the role of PTSD in the relationship. We address avoidance of places, situations, people, and emotions.
